The phrases here are primarily for my own reference as a translator, especially how to form the codes for special Greek characters, not meant as a definitive dictionary. But maybe someone else will find this useful.
Greek letters are formed in HTML by an ampersand, followed by a pound or number sign, followed by the name of the letter, spelled out in lower case letters, followed by a semi-colon. If the letter is capitalized, then capitalize the first letter of its name. Also, the final “sigma” in a word is indicated by the symbol &#sigmaf; . Letters with diacriticals have separate numerical symbols. Here are some examples:
